Capybara in Morning Sunlight
While visiting the ranch of Fazenda Barranco Alto in the Southern Pantanal of Brazil, we went on several safari like drives. One morning we stopped and got out to photograph some birds in the morning light. The birds weren’t active so we each wandered around on our own looking for other wildlife. A group of Capybara walked very near to me. I was near a tree and they didn’t see me at first, once they realized I was there they stopped and cautiously eyed me trying to decide if I was a threat. After a few minutes they decided I was ok and continued on their way.
